This way back to the Ranch And the winner is.....
This past weekend was the first really pleasant weekend this year. Pleasant as in shorts and outdoor work. Though it did sprinkle on us occasionally, and it got pretty muddy in some places. Anyway, my buddy Ed and his wife are having some work done on their house. And "This Olde Deck" was in the way. We peeled all the flat boards off with pry-bars and hammers. When it came down to removing the joists, that was a different story. It was far more efficient to use the SawzAll to cut the boards out. Which led to the following dialogue:

"It doesn't saw some."

"It doesn't saw most."

"It saws ALL!"

That all led to some discussions of future video projects:

Now keep in mind, these are the same guys that helped me toss my couch off the balcony when I moved back from Atlanta. And the time we taped the great chair toss of 2002. So these may not be idle threats.

However, though we had a video camera, we were all too busy to tape a few frames at a time of this latest grand adventure. But since I have my new digital camera, I did get a few pictures. So, I present to you: The Deck vs. The SawzAll. And the winner is:

Sawzall!
And the winner is Sawzall

None of that is original material on my part. However, it was a discourse of sorts, between my two best friends in the world. And it illustrates one of the many reasons I like these two guys so much. Friends I've had since college, a little over 20 years. The three of us get together, and there's generally good times had by everybody. Even if we're just ganging up on a harmless back deck with some omnipotent power tools.
