| As I mentioned in the Tao, I spent a great afternoon at a local zoo. These are some of the pictures that I took that day.
| The Zoo is mostly an outdoor affair, with a petting zoo in the back. So they are all outdoor "displays".
The above is some sort of Asian Bull..I don't remember where specifically. Those horns are huge!
| And here's my date for the afternoon..feeding a kangaroo. They have these dispensing machines all along the path
through the zoo where you can buy food pellets..and then you can feed the animals. It's pretty cool.
| For example..feeding the bears was sorta fun. The cage that the bears are in is set back from the walkway so that
you cannot reach the cage..a good thing. So, there's two long tubes that reach from the banister on the walkway to the floor of the cage.
You put food in the tube and it slides over to the cage..where the bears eat it.
| And there was a pair of Lions..this is the female, Nala.
Naturally they weren't too interested in the food pellets. The good news is that the Zoo
is in the process of building a larger enclosure for the big cats. They should be out of these cages by next year.

| And here's the current "pride of the zoo" Rajah. He was rescued..and re-habilitated and
has taken quite well to life here at the zoo. You can see him relaxing back there behind the two fences.
I believe this is the closest I have ever been to a tiger. And I'd like very much to get closer.
